Hawai`i CARES

Hawai`i CARES is the state’s new multiple entry-point and coordinating center for behavioral health services including substance use disorder (SUD), mental health, and crisis intervention services. A phone screening can be performed and if deemed appropriate a case manager can schedule a visit for follow-up to determine level of services.

Ku Makani – The Hawaii Resiliency Project by Hawai`i CARES

This new Crisis Counseling Program, Ku Makani assists adults and children with recovering from the impacts of COVID-19. Statewide services include a warm line, education via media marketing, zoom/telehealth modalities for groups, and individual crisis counseling sessions. `Ohana Coach Program

`Ohana Coach Referral Line: 808-523-7550

The `Ohana Coach Program is a Peer to Peer Support program using local, trained volunteer coaches to provide support and resources for people that have experienced loved ones dealing with substance use issues. This program is supported by the Hawai`i Rural Health Association and the Hawai`i Opioid Initiative.
