What is butane Hash Oil?

Butane hash oil (BHO) is a form of cannabis. Hash oil can be the most potent of cannabis products because of its high THC content. Street names for BHO include dabbing, shatter, wax, ear wax, honey oil, amber, and budder.

How is it used?

BHO can be consumed a number of ways including dabbing, smoking, vaporization with an electronic smoking device or eating. BHO is odorless making it easy to conceal and vape without being detected. BHO use is called "dabbing" because users only need a dab of it.

Manufacturing and its Dangers

Making hash oil is very dangerous. Butane is a highly flammable solvent used in making hash oil. Hash oil explosions will cause severe burns.

  • Hallucinations

  • Coma

  • Respiratory, kidney, liver failure

  • Death

Legal Penalties

BHO is illegal in the state of Hawaii. It holds the same punishment as the possession of marijuana on Oahu, a misdemeanor. On Hawaii Island, Kauai, Lanai, Maui and Molokai, possession of BHO is a Class A felony, a more severe punishment.
