The HIPTRC now features on-line access to the great inventory of Lending Library books, DVDs, and display boards. The on-line library system (LIBIB) will allow patrons to start an on-line account to view books and DVDs, check out materials, extend checked out items (1X), and receive electronic reminders of when resources are due based on a 4 week check out. The Borrowers Agreement will be the key tool to ensure your access to the on-line account and resource access.
On-line Lending Library Procedures
Complete and submit the Borrowers Agreement below. Ensure that all fields are completed. If fields are missing, HIPTRC staff will contact you before providing access to the on-line library (LIBIB) and to confirm the mailing address for delivery of resources.
Check the provided email (shared on the Borrowers Agreement) for a confirmation, it may take up to 2 days, and a link to the on-line library system, LIBIB. This email will include the instructions (a-e) below:
a. Go to hiprc.libib.com;
b. At the hiprc.libib.com (on-line library) log-in screen, click the red text that states “Need Password”;
c. Once the link is clicked, enter the email provided on the Borrowers Agreement and check your provided email for an automated password;
d. Return to the on-line library, LIBIB, log in screen. Enter your email and the generated password to gain access;
NOTE: Feel free to change your password after initial log in to help remember the password. Once you have a password, you will be in the on-line library system and will be able to access the library any time;e. Browse the HIPTRC on-line library (LIBIB) and reserve the resource(s) you would like.
Once a book or DVD is reserved, HIPTRC staff will mail the resource(s) to the address designated on the Borrowers Agreement. Prior to the mailing an email notification will be sent to the borrower to confirm the mailing address. Then staff will mail the resource(s).
Returning a resource(s) may be returned to the drop box at the HIPRC office or you may mail the resource(s) to:
