The Lending Library is available to the general public, free of cost. The Lending Library has a variety of resources available to access. The most recent addition is the On-line Lending Library that provides viewing and check out of books and DVDs through on-line access. Get started by completing a Borrowers Agreement and visiting the On-line Lending Library page. The Clearinghouse has brochures, drug fact infographics, and federal publications; Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration, National Institutes of Health and Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, which are all free of charge. The HIPRC has available educational display boards. The display boards are hosted in collaboration with Hawaii State Public Libraries across the state, usually in September. A list of the display board titles are shared below. Any of these resources may be requested from the Services page. Prevention and Treatment Directories are also available and may be downloaded from the Directories tab.

All resources are ONLY available to State of Hawaii residents.

Lending Library Procedures

The HIPTRC resources are available remotely by utilizing the Resource Request form and the on-line Lending Library (Libib). Please visit the On-Line Lending Library page to use this new feature. We do kindly ask that borrowed materials be retuned in 4 weeks if not extended through the on-line Lending Library. The HIPTRC will cover the cost of resource delivery and ask that individuals pay for the mailing cost of returned materials. The HIPTRC gladly mails materials to neighbor island residents as well!

To check out resources complete the Borrowers Agreement below and identify topics of interest.  For topics you may view categories here or email hiprc@drugfreehawaii.org for more information on the topic of interest.
