Alcohol

Alcohol is a liquid depressant that is consumed in the form of beer, wine, liquor or alcopops. Alcohol is a mood altering drug that is legal for adults 21+ to purchase.

 

Underage Drinking

Underage drinking is the consumption of alcohol before the age of 21. Doing so puts the brain and body at risk for potential developmental and functional abnormalities. Alcohol is a factor in the three leading causes of death for 15-24 year olds.

 

Marijuana

Marijuana comes from the plant Cannabis Sativa. The key ingredient in marijuana is Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), when smoked or ingested causes a powerful high.

 

tobacco

The primary ingredient in tobacco is nicotine. Nicotine is an extremely addictive poison. COMMON Tobacco Products include: cigarettes, cigars/cigarillos, pipe tobacco, hookah, spit/chew tobacco, e-cigarettes etc.

An e-cigarette is an Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS). E-Cigarettes contain nicotine-laced liquid flavors. They are designed to work like an actual cigarette by inhaling its vapor.

inhalants

Inhalants are substances or fumes from products such as paint thinner or glue that when sniffed or “huffed” cause an immediate high. They affect your brain quicker and stronger than other substances, because of this irreversible physical and mental damage occurs.

 

Predatory Drugs

A predatory drug is ANY substance used to facilitate sexual assault. These drugs are often undetected as they are odorless and colorless when mixed with water. They tend to have a salty taste, but when mixed with alcohol, soda, or other beverages, they are virtually undetectable.

 

Alcopops

Sugary, usually fruity-flavored and brightly appealing alcoholic beverages that look and taste like soda. Alcopops range from hard lemonades to energy drinks with alcohol already mixed in. Alcopops contain the same amount of alcohol as beer, but hides the high amount of alcohol under the sweetness of the drink. Alcopops are just as dangerous as any beer. 

 

Spice

Synthetic (man-made) drug that provides a high effect similar to marijuana. It contains a mixture of plant materials and unregulated chemicals. Often coated with unknown toxic chemicals, causing a dangerous and unpredictable high.

Butane Hash Oil

Butane hash oil (BHO) is a form of cannabis. Hash oil can be the most potent of cannabis products because of its high THC content.
